Kari Kari lodge consists of a three bedroom single storied home on a private section which is fully accessible. Facilities include fully accessible wheelchair toilet and shower. it is fully furnished, self-contained. All bedding and linen is supplied. Medical care is available in the area. A list of doctors, surgeries, medical centres can be found in the lodge's information book. Kari Kari lodge is situated at 26 Inland RD, in the beautiful coastal residential location of Whatuwhiwhi(Tokerau Beach), on the Kari Kari Peninsula. There is a service station,a small superette, liquor store, take away and boat ramp with close proximity of the lodge. Whatuwhiwhi, Tokerau Beach is 17 km from state highway no:10 and 26 km north of the historical, picturesque, seaside village of Mangonui. To reach the Kari Kari peninsula from the south take a right, turn six kilometres past Taipa onto Inland Road. From Kaitaia and north the turnoff is a 20 minute drive from Awanui on state highway 10.Situated on the East Coast, Kari Kari lodge overlooks the amazing and treasured Kari Kari Bay, and the Maturoa islands surrounded by the blue waters of the Pacific. Tokerau Beach is only a five minute walk away. Within a 10 to 15 minute drive from the lodge you can find a number of beautiful beaches suitable for surfing,fishing,diving and swimming.Within a 30 minute drive one may experience the rugged beauty of the West coast.Horse Treks, fishing charters, and tours are just some of the exciting activities available while sojourning in the far North. Information on these can be found at the lodge. Kaitaia, 35kms to the South-West, is the main service centre providing an extensive range of retail shopping,professional and commercial services.
