An idyllic cottage situated in the Motueka Valley just off State Highway 6. A farm setting on 110 acres. Private accommodation surrounded by trees and birds.
Ideal fishing retreat and a great swimming hole. Escape to a peaceful spot and during your stay visit Nelson Lakes National Park or Kahurangi National Park. Why not visit Nelson city or the Motueka township? (which are all about 45 mins drive).
We are centrally located to all of the above which are full of opportunities for the holiday maker.
If you are not into fishing then perhaps a game of golf at the local Golden Downs 9 hole course (a 10 minute drive away.)There is horse trekking , wine tasting, potteries, hunting, kayaking and much more. Or simply just relax and enjoy the surroundings of 'Sallagh' holiday cottage.
The local village of Tapawera is a 5 min drive where you will find the Information centre, a Four Square shop, an On The Spot store, the Bushman's Cafe and a Mobil service station.
*The 'loft' is accessed by ladder which takes you to the 2x single beds (not suitable for very young children).
** Please note that we now have a cafe,gallery and sculpture garden on the property too which showcases the saw blade sculptures of David Carson amongst others. (www.davidcarson.co.nz)
