Nestled high above the Grey River amongst bush & peaceful gardens with fantastic views, River Valley Lodge is an ideal retreat.
River Valley Lodge is an easy 12 km drive East of Greymouth on State Highway 7, just before the historic Brunner mine memorial (past Dobson, before Stillwater and the Lake Brunner turn-off.)
Built in 1991, on the site where 2 miners’ taverns stood 100 years earlier, River Valley Lodge reflects the area’s history, has relics on site & even features a beautiful old hotel piano from the mining era. Its a warm, homely, open plan lodge which comfortably sleeps six. River Valley Lodge has two large master bedrooms with ensuite/showers and offers panoramic views over the Grey River towards the coast.
The lodge offers great facilities. The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials. The living area is spacious with large modern kitchen, dining, a conservatory with fantastic views & a comfortable, traditional lounge with settees, TV, stereo, books & a Pioneer log-fire.
